Aquila Private Game Reserve offers a unique South African Safari experience. Open air 4x4 vehicle safaris take place mornings and evenings. They are 2-3 hours long and snacks, blankets, and raincoats are provided. Horseback safaris require no experience. They are 2 hours long and take place in the early mornings or evenings. Aquila can accommodate up to 9 people and you must be at least 9 years old. Picnics can also be planned with light meals next to rock pools. Quad bike safaris can be arranged for up to 10 people with prior notice and you must be at least 17 years old.
Other sites and activities include visiting Matjiesfontein Village. Matjiesfontein Village has a rich history with ties to the Boer War and a double-decker London Bus makes daily tours. You can visit the Karoo National Park which has a large variety of fossils, antelope and birdlife. There are 3 golf courses close by in De Doorns, Ceres, and Worcester, and activities like cherry picking and trout fishing can be arranged from Aquila.
Aquila has great conferencing facilities for those who want to work and safari at the same time! The conference room can accommodate 40-80 delegates. They have all the usual modern equipment along with 2 breakaway rooms. Meals can be taken care of in The Boma restaurant. The Aquila personnel are more than happy to take care of your every need and packages can be arranged.
